 Precautions during the operation of steam drying kiln: The steam pressure supplied to the drying kiln is generally controlled within 0.3~0.5MPa, and it is best to stabilize at around 0.4MPa. If the steam pressure is unstable, it will affect the stability of the temperature and humidity of the medium in the drying room, making it difficult to control the temperature and humidity of the drying medium.

The dry bulb temperature is regulated by the heater valve, and the EMC value is regulated by the moisture discharge hole and the steam spray pipe. By closing the moisture discharge hole or opening the steam spray tube, the EMC value can be increased, and lowering the temperature can also increase the EMC value. On the contrary, stopping the steam spraying, opening the moisture discharge hole or increasing the temperature will reduce the EMC value.

In order to achieve relatively stable control of the state of the drying medium and reduce the heat loss of the drying medium, attention should be paid to the interlocking relationship between the heater, spray pipe, and moisture discharge hole during the operation process. When the wood is in the drying stage, the temperature of the drying medium is adjusted by the heater switch, and the EMC value of the drying medium is adjusted by the moisture discharge hole switch. The steam spraying pipe valve should be in a closed state. When wood undergoes heat and moisture treatment, the moisture discharge hole switch must be in the closed state. By relying on the steam pipe switch to increase or adjust the EMC value, the heater switch can be opened appropriately as an auxiliary to stabilize the temperature of the drying medium.

When the wood is in the drying stage, the EMC value is too low. It is necessary to close the moisture drainage holes and rely on the moisture evaporated from the wood itself to increase the EMC value. If the EMC value does not meet the certain requirements within a certain period of time, measures should be taken to reduce the dry bulb temperature, do less spraying, and try not to spray when not in the processing stage.

During the operation, if the dry bulb temperature and EMC value are difficult to meet the drying benchmark requirements for a while, attention should be paid to controlling the heating rate of the dry bulb temperature. The heating rate varies depending on the different drying stages. It is generally best to control the heating rate at 1-2 ℃ per hour in the early stage of drying. If the moisture content of the wood is relatively high, the dry bulb temperature can be controlled within the range specified by the drying standard first, and then the EMC value can be gradually adjusted to within the drying standard range. When adjusting the dry bulb temperature, attention should also be paid to its heating rate.

It is best to change the operating direction of the kiln fan every 2 hours. Before starting the replacement, the fan should be stopped for 3 minutes before starting. It is best for operators to observe the condition of the drying room every 2-3 hours, so as to detect and solve problems at any time and avoid drying quality problems.
